The Cooke Center for Learning and Development is the largest private provider of inclusive special education services in New York City, offering preschool programs, a K - 12 school and consulting services that foster inclusive education.

The Cooke center is a non-sectarian, non-profit organization.

Independence through Education

At Cooke, we believe that all children have a right to an independent future-- one in which they are included as integral members of their community. 

For our students, learning takes place among their typically developing peers and in some of New York City's most prestigious offices and cultural institutions. Our children are building on their own interests and strengths to create a vibrant life and take their rightful place in the world.

Accreditation

The Cooke Center is proud to be accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and to be a member of the New York State Association of Independent Schools.  The Cooke Center Academy is registered as a high school with the New York Board of Regents and can award New York state diplomas.
