How to Help

Cooke reaches children from the South Bronx to East New York - and just about everywhere in between, touching the lives of children who might otherwise be left behind. Our parents tell us they don't know where their families would be without Cooke. Our programs make a difference in the lives of thousands of children with special needs all across New York City, year after year.

Each year, Cooke must raise between 12 – 15% of its operating budget through the generous support of our individual, corporate and foundation donors. These contributions help us bridge the gap between the revenue we bring in through tuition and Department of Education reimbursements and the actual day-to-day expenses of running our school. Many of the other programs we provide in New York's underserved communities are dependent on donations we receive from our friends and supporters.

Just as our parents count on us to support their children in living full and independent lives, Cooke counts on the support of friends who are committed to our mission.

Visit our giving page to donate online.  If you have any questions about Cooke’s programs and how your gift will help us serve our children and families, please contact our Development Office at (212) 280-4477, x11.
