How to Help

Each year, Cooke must raise between 12 – 15% of its operating budget through the generous support of our individual, corporate and foundation donors. Tuition only covers a portion of the cost of educating a Cooke student.

To advance Cooke’s growth, this year our challenge is to raise $1,400,000, which breaks down to approximately $5000 needed per Cooke student. Your gift will help further our vision of a world in which all people with special needs are included as valued members of their communities, leading independent, purposeful lives.

We have accomplished many milestones and we continue to pursue our mission by:

  • Utilizing real-world vocational internships for all high school and young adult programs.
  • Integrating the therapeutic horticulture program for students of all ages.
  • Expanding our creative arts services and academic programs through partnerships with organizations such as St. John’s University, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, School of Visual Arts, and NYU.
  • Doubling Cooke Center Institute’s consulting impact with an increase in the number ofpartner schools from 30 to 65 sites and changing the narrative for thousands of underserved students across New York City.

If you have any questions about Cooke’s programs and how your gift will help us serve our children and families, please contact Cooke Advancement Office at (212) 280-4473, x14.
