Congratulations to our Cooke graduates and their families!
This time of year marks the accomplishments of a key milestone in the lives of our students. Graduations are are always a source of pride and joy, for families, teachers, school administration and most important, for the graduates. It is a celebration of their triumphs over challenges and it is the affirmation upon which their hopes and dreams for their future are built.
The School of Visual Arts in partnership with the Cooke Center for Learning and Development proudly presents the Art Pals Project. This project brought Cooke Center students together in a very special way - through non- verbal, artistic expression.
CCA's Got Talent! Cooke Center Academy held their annual Holiday Talent show on December 18th and wow, they do have talent! Over 70 students participated to put on an amazing show. About 200 friends, family and faculty filled the room with enthusiasm and excitement. Cooke students, past and present, cheered on their school mates and friends. The crowd was brought to their feet on more than one occasion.
Jessie Gardner, Technology teacher at Cooke Center Academy, will take on starring role as a presenter at the 2015 Teaching with Technology Conference on February 11, 2015 at Lycée Français. She will be presenting, "Technology beyond the WOW, let's focus on the why and how!" Jessie's goal will be to help the teachers in attendance develop an Integrate technology into lessons in a FUN yet FUNCTIONAL way!
