Meet a Cooke Partner:
The Moody's Foundation
It is no exaggeration to say that Cooke could never have achieved all that we have at the Cooke Center Academy without The Moody's Foundation's commitment to the Transition to Life Program. When Cooke first reached out to Moody's back in 2003, we were serving 25 high school students and had relationships with just a handful of community partners who offered internships to our students. Today, the Cooke Center Academy is a self-contained, model high school serving 94 students. We now work with over 60 community partners who provide real-life experience to our students through internships and community service. The planning, research and relationship building required for this kind of programming would simply not have been possible without the generous and sustained partnership of The Moody's Foundation.
In October 2008, about 10 Moody's employees generously took the time to visit the Cooke Center Academy and held mock job interviews with the students, providing an invaluable service to our teens as they set out to find their first jobs after graduation.
Having Moody's as a lead donor has inspired confidence among potential donors and allowed Cooke to secure new sources of program funding.
Cooke is enormously grateful to Moody's for their continued support of our mission and our students.
