2010 Spring Gala: Save the Date!
The Cooke Center Spring Gala, Food for Thought, will be held April 26th at La Venue in Chelsea.
This chefs' tasting event will honor David and Karen Waltuck of Chanterelle, who are also parents of Cooke Center Academy student, Jacob.
The evening will feature savory and sweet tastings by some of New York City’s most beloved chefs, including David Waltuck (honoree), Julian Alonzo (Brasserie 8 ½), Franklin Becker (Abe & Arthur’s), Ed Brown (Eighty One), David Bouley (Bouley Restaurants), Maneet Chauhan (At Vermilion), Patty Clark (Patricia Clark Catering), Karen DeMasco (Locanda Verde), Ricky Estrellado (Nobu New York), Robb Garceau (Hudson Yards Catering, Danny Meyer’s catering co.), Jacques Gautier (Palo Santo), Charles Grund, Jr. (Hill Country), Craig Hopson (Le Cirque), Michael Laiskonis (Le Bernardin), Anita Lo (Annisa), Michael Lomonaco (Porter House New York), Anne-Marie Noonan (Bryant Park Grill) and Laurie Pauker (Lush Candy).
Wine parings will be provided by Evening Land Vineyards, Parlay Wine, San Polino Winery, and Loca Linda wine from Clo Wine Bar, along with Master Sommelier, Roger Dagorn (Porter House New York). A silent auction of food- and wine-related items will round out the event.
