Alumni Association

Alumni Association members getting ready to go canoeing on Ramapo tripThe Cooke Alumni Association, formed in 2008, provides alumni with opportunities for social, recreational and educational experiences designed to enhance connection among alumni and within the greater New York City community.  Throughout the academic year, Cooke’s Alumni Office coordinates monthly social events, including museum trips, dances, movie nights and sports events. Cooke also offers three 6-8 week continuing education workshops during the year on topics as varied as computer training and acting classes. A Resource Center, staffed by members of Cooke’s Transition Department, is available during scheduled hours each week to provide alumni and their families additional support for navigating life after Cooke, including benefits and entitlements counseling, referral and information services and advocacy services.

Join the Alumni Association

The Alumni Association is open alumni and former Cooke students in good standing. If you are part of this group please complete the Alumni Association Membership Registration form to sign up for exclusive alumni information.

Students in the SKILLs program are invited to participate in some alumni events.  Decisions to allow friends and support persons to participate in Alumni Association activities will be made on a case-by-case basis, and must be approved by the Alumni Office.

If you have any questions about joining the Alumni Association, please contact Bryan Clancy at bclancy@cookecenter.org.

Alumni Association activities reflect Cooke’s ongoing mission of providing children and young adults with special needs the education and life experiences necessary to lead as independent, productive and fulfilling life as possible.
